Shout-Out to Our Mysterious Volunteers!

Heylo everyone! We want to thank everyone for patiently waiting for the ASB registration system to function properly. We know it must have been a bit stressful!

That being said…OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE REGISTERED! WOOOOT! Somewhere in the BU community there are 11 students who are coming with us to Seattle for Spring Break! We couldn’t be more excited and absolutely can’t wait to meet all of you.

If any of you have any questions or would like to reveal yourselves to us via email, please feel free! We won’t be informed of our volunteers for another couple of weeks.

Everyone, prepare for the most memorable spring break you’ll ever have! Seattle can’t even begin to prepare for our arrival…

I know what you’re doing tomorrow (or Wednesday) night!

Wanna find out more about all the wonderful ASB trips? OF COURSE YOU DO.

So, to get all of your burning questions answered, you should attend the BU ASB Info Sessions in the GSU Back Court at 8pm on Tuesday, January 24th and Wednesday the 25th!

You can come talk to us and ask us all about Seattle! We’ll be so happy to see all of your smiling faces =)

See you on tomorrow and/or Wednesday!

PS: Bring your friends!

Did you know…

… that Washington and Oregon are next to one another!?

And even more awesome, we will probably be going there on our day off! Our hope is to spend our last Saturday exploring Portland. Apparently there’s a doughnut shop there that performs weddings? Cool.

Leave a comment with suggestions if you know of any other cool things we can do in Portland! (Or Seattle!)

Who wants some fun facts?

So, we thought it would be helpful for you to know some fun facts about Washington State. Perhaps these facts will be the tipping point that convinces you to come with us to Seattle!

  1. Washington state produces more apples than any other state. [We know you love apples!]
  2. Bob Barker, Ray Charles, AND Bill Gates all come from Washington! [Maybe we can convince Bill Gates to donate some meals?]
  3. Seattle has the country’s highest rate of residents with a college degree! [Some of which are from BU and we'll get to meet them and eat meals at their houses- YUM!]
  4. Father’s Day was founded in Washington in the year 1910. [Shout-out to all the cool dads out there!]
  5. The popular cheer known as “The Wave” was invented at the University of Washington. [We'll be sure to do the wave on the plane ride over there!]

So, after all of those fun facts, I’m positive that you all want to accompany us on our trip. Just in case, I’ll include a picture of the beautiful city. Note: You can see mountain tops in the city skyline- AMAZING!

Hello friends!

Hello friends!

Hopefully your long weekend was full of either or both of turkey or turkey substitute. Yams are also delicious when prepared the right way.

This superawesome ASB event is happening next week! We hope to see you there.

Here are some photos of babies we played with over Thanksgiving (also, the movie “Babies” is on Netflix… which is useful information if you haven’t cancelled your account yet).

This bundle of sunshine is Leanne’s second cousin, Claudia. She’s really cute and Leanne and Mike agree that she looks like a real-life Cabbage Patch Doll.

This is Mike's nephew Cameron. He's so cute it's not even reasonable.
